フィードバックを提供するI ordered a simple medium-rare hamburger, but when my meal finally arrived, I took a bite of what was essentially a raw burger – it wasn't even rare; it was completely uncooked. It didn’t even resemble a proper hamburger. I’ve eaten raw beef before, seasoned with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, but this didn’t look or taste like any hamburger I’ve ever had. After one bite, I had to spit it out. Throughout our visit, our waitress/bartender proved difficult to reach. We ordered drinks, and she took her time showing up – it took her 20 minutes to even acknowledge us again, and she never brought the drinks initially. We had to remind her about those! To add to our frustration, the waitress from the table-bussing crew came over and asked to clear our table after our appetizers, assuming we were finished, even though we hadn’t received our main meals yet. The entire experience felt like a complete joke, and I’m disappointed in how we were treated. I wouldn’t even give this place one star; even the beer was warm and not chilled. What a pathetic experience!
As a fish lover, I was thrilled to try the baked fish. While I can't remember the type, I do recall that it was perfectly prepared, and I even went back for seconds! There were also soups, breads, and desserts. Oh, and I must mention the fresh fruits! Despite being full, I couldn't resist trying the fresh blackberries. They were absolutely delightful—large, sweet, and juicy—so good that I ended up having a second helping. Parking was more than sufficient, and the staff were friendly and attentive with quick refills. The ambiance was lovely, especially since it was a bright, sunny day with sunshine streaming through the windows. Overall, it was a pleasant outing, and I would definitely consider returning soon.
A friend discovered this restaurant on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try. Since it was a Saturday night, we made a reservation in advance. Upon arrival, we noticed that about a third of the tables were occupied. The interior was appealing, and the restaurant appeared clean. However, we faced delays right from the start, including having to wait for our waiter to greet us and bring our water. Unfortunately, the tap water had a terrible, fishy smell, so we opted for sodas and other drinks instead. Our waiter was friendly, but he seemed a bit unsure of himself. The food took an incredibly long time to arrive. We waited quite a while just for our drinks, and it took over an hour for our appetizers to come out. The delay for our entrees was even longer; some members of our party nearly dozed off at the table. While I must say the appetizers were delicious, the entrees were a disappointment. My salmon was overcooked and extremely dry—it was so bad that I actually couldn't finish it for the first time ever. They did ask for our feedback on the food, but there was no apology for the slow service. I don't think we'll be returning to this place anytime soon.
Found this restaurant on yelp and decided to stop in on our why down to Long Island for Thanksgiving. They are close to the Thruway exit 21B. 3.5 to 4 stars The place is quite large with lots of seating area and off shoot areas for small groups. The service was very good. The food was good Soup special Turkey asparagus was good but was a bit salty for my taste. Spouse had their MAINE LOBSTER ROLL Their most popular sandwich! Chilled Maine lobster meat tossed with diced fresh cucumber, chopped scallion, and tarragon mayonnaise. Served on a brioche roll. 26.99. It was good but would get something else. For me NASHVILLE HOT FISH SANDWICH Florida grouper double dredged in old bay seasoned flour then deep fried and dipped in our secret hot sauce. Served on a brioche bun with sliced avocado, sweet pickles and parmesan peppercorn dressing. 14.99. This was a good meal. Onion Rings were excellent. but cost extra $1.99. Mushroom Fritters were salty but OK. Also extra $1.99. Sandwiches DO NOT come with anything. They don't tell you this. I would return in the area but order something different.
Only 5 of us for our last night in Coxsackie. The waitress took our drink orders as soon as she finished filling our water glasses. Started out with New England Clam Chowder that was loaded with clams and was very creamy. Then had the short ribs in a delicious sauce with mashed potatoes that hit the spot. Prime rib and lobster tails were among the other entrees. We were too filled to order desert. Finished off with Cappuccino. The place was decorated for Christmas. The food was good. The service was great. Good bye Red 's we 'll be back next year. Sal E New Rochelle.
