フィードバックを提供するThe personal was friendly, but it looked like they were underoccupied today. krepps were simply in order, but under our order was a nutella crepe that came out as a chocolate. coffee is not according to wellington standard, hot chocolates were tasteless. Hopefully, it's better if more employees are on hand.
Nice and cosy French place for a breakfast or small lunch in Wellington CBD. A menu with heaps of options which looks very authentic. Staff are not very welcoming and the place has no real real vibe. Menu and staff insist on speaking French and as someone who can’t speak French I didn’t feel very welcome. Menu needs more details (in English) and can easily mislead you. Prices are midrange and acceptable when you compare it with the size of the portions. We ordered omelet, beef mince crepe and some sweets. The omelet was overcooked and the smoked chicken used in the omelette was normal product from supermarket and cheese was very normal supermarket sold cheese. Mince crepe was good but really small portion. Sweets and jam were awesome. Overall nice place to spend a morning but a bit overrated (like most of other restaurants and cafes in NZ).
Must have been a bad day for them, short staffed perhaps, but slow service. But main issue was poor and bland food experience... Poached eggs were over poached, nearly hard, on a single piece of disappointing hard toast, and the smoked salmon looked smelt and tasted so bad I said so to them after a couple of bites and was just told it's because they smoke it themselves and so is different... I couldn't eat the salmon and left it and not even an offer of a refund or alternative side. The coffee was nice though.
Food was ok, but frustratingly they have upped their prices but not actually changed their chalkboard menu yet. They charged us the new higher price for our meal despite us clearly ordering off the menu that had incorrect prices. Then the food (crepe and soup) took 25 mins to arrive during lunch break... Not ideal
Unusual priorities for service in my years of hospitality. A croissant for lunch- of course a French cafe- one left, wasn’t fresh supermarket tastes better. Dated place needs a thorough clean
