My husband also ordered the eggs Benedict cooked hard, but they arrived poached. We sent them back, and the turnaround was quick, with the revised dish being very good. Both my second son and I are vegan, so we ordered the avocado toast without eggs or mayo. Mine came with a delicious homemade tomato jam that was so incredible I can't even describe the balance of sweet, salty, crunchy, and creamy flavors all at once. Okay, I guess I did describe it! My vegan son was a bit let down by the limited vegan breakfast options, and although lunch was about to start in an hour and the place was nearly empty, they couldn't serve it to us right away. However, they were helpful in finding something that worked for us, hence the avocado toast. The home fries and bacon were also very delicious. The ambiance was fantastic as well. There was a painter on a small stage creating art, surrounded by wonderful artwork and great music. To top it off, they were roasting coffee right in the restaurant with an antique-looking roaster, which was so much fun. And did I mention the phenomenal coffee? It was just so good! We will definitely be back, probably tomorrow!
The coffee here is excellent, though on the pricier side. The menu offers a good variety with generous portions and plenty of choices. The owner is really friendly and values the community. I often take my family to BSL as a special treat. I would visit more frequently if it were more affordable.
We ordered coffees, a latte, and avocado toast. Everything was prepared very quickly and the service was attentive! The food was delicious, and the coffee was great as well. They roast their own beans. It's been owned by a young man for about four years now. It's a reliable choice for breakfast, lunch, or coffee in Welland.
Having coffee here is a WHOLE EXPERIENCE! Not only is the coffee really good, the staff is amazing and it just lends to getting a good start to the day. Every season, they experiment with delicious seasonal flavours and they make a lot of their syrups themselves too or they support other small businesses where they can. This place is run by people passionate about coffee and giving people amazing coffee experiences so I definitely recommend visiting here if you're in the area. It's well worth it!
Breakfast here was great! One of my favorite breakfasts in Welland I had a breakfast featuring eggs, toast, ham, and bacon. The price was around $14 which was a little high for breakfast in Welland (the only reason they received 4 instead of 5 stars). They threw in some complimentary hashbrowns though which was super nice The staff overall were personable and friendly, you could tell they were engaged with their work and cared about creating a warm atmosphere. The decor was also weird and interesting, but in a more unique way than your typical hipster café There are plenty of dairy-free options for anyone with allergies (like myself) or dietary preferences. Vegan options are a little lacking in breakfast outside of avocado toast, but they seem to have many more available for lunch and dinner
