Decent food good service. Much better available for the price. Upscale Italian is a challenge around AVL but Cucina 24 Luminosa are good options.

Wow Weaverville! Outstanding Italian food ! Birthday Celebration, Started with Cocktails, Old Fashions and a Elderberry Fizz. Went on to have the most delicious Truffle Parm Fries, Calamari, and Garlic Knots. Ordered a Frogs Leap for wine with Dinner, delicious Caesar Salad and a Blue Cheese Salad. I had the Fresh Fettuccine with Sausage and Homemade Ricotta. It was wonderfully flavored but needed more Sausage. Another had Special Diver Scallops, Fresh and Sitting on Corn Polenta, another had the Seafood Ravioli, in a cream sauce. Made our little one fresh fettuccine with Butter and Parm , she ate every drop! Then Vanilla Creme Brûlée and Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert! Incredible Meal!

The food was well prepared, well plated, plentiful and delicious. We both got one of the nightly specials which were Monk Fish, polenta w/ramps and Stuffed Italian Meatloaf w/mashed potatoes. Dessert was a light and flavorful Angel food Strawberry Shortcake. The atmosphere was clean, quaint and had moderate noise volume. Reservations are a must. Definitely a winner.

What a special, cozy Christmas Eve dinner at Glass Onion in Weaverville. It was perfect from start to finish!! Festive holiday decor on both the outside and inside. Low lighting provided such a warm and inviting environment on a cold holiday night. For appetizers we ordered the calamari and a cup of the seafood chowder soup. Both were devoured quickly I tried the calamari and it was a delicious salty bite and was cooked to perfection. Our server also brought out a dish with three of their garlic rolls....YUM!! It was definitely the garlic roll I inhaled that ruined my appetite before our main course arrived : There were many entree specials to choose from, our table ordered the Steak special (I think it was a filet that came with green beans; the Fish special on a bed of saffron rice; and the Rigatoni with Bolognese sauce. Every dish was delicious and there was a nice variety of entrees to choose from between the menu and the nightly specials. We all had to go boxes as we were absolutely stuffed from all the delicious food! Will be back very soon!

We're staying in town for the weekend and tried out the glass onion! Everything was absolutely delicious! We had the fig and goat cheese salad special, the house made beef and cheese ravioli which were absolutely amazing, and the carbonara with shrimp with the fresh fettuccine. Everything was so delicious include the garlic knots. The crème brulee was one of the best we've had and the tiramisu martini. Our server was Ali and she was amazing as well! We're only here for the weekend but would love to come back!
