The Ugly Mug - Wausau

This is an outstanding breakfast destination. They serve fantastic coffee, delicious pastries, and a variety of egg dishes. The staff is friendly and clearly takes pride in their establishment. Be sure to try the breakfast bowl!

Great coffee, friendly and efficient baristas. The decor is very comfortable.

The smoothies here are quite good, especially the green one with spinach, which tastes very fresh. The cups are on the smaller side, but that's typical everywhere.

Stayed at the Jefferson Inn, with breakfast provided by the Ugly Mug. It was just that…ugly! The woman that delivered and served was a complete j She chastised me for having two bottles of water; “ breakfast comes with only one water or coffee(while staring at me), but whatever!” When I showed her TWO coupons, she just looked away and started talking to her co-worker. Absolutely zero awareness of her rudeness. This was on August 4th 7AM, in case your wondering which employee she is. God save you if this is the owner! After going through the hassle of ordering online the night before and looking forward to a nice tasty breakfast, we were so disappointed, as the food was very poor quality. Stuffed into small containers, lukewarm at best, and in our case, no fruit as promised with the French toast. And you can bet I wasn’t going back to deal with that delivery person again! And I would never visit that business separate from a hotel stay!
