Very good specialty pizzas! The prosciutto arugula was delicious, and I also recommend the Tuscan Chicken pizza. Overall vibe of the restaurant is great, and the dough and the way it’s cooked makes it particularly crispy.
The restaurant is right downtown central, great location. Waterloo town has 2 hour free parking, just behind. Had the lunch specials. The pizza was excellent, and the meatballs fantastic. Very juicy and well cooked. Service was very good. Great location and very nice stting
I must say, it was a delightful experience. The first thing that caught my attention was their charming patio. It had a cozy and inviting atmosphere with beautiful decor that added to the overall ambiance of the place. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and soak in the surrounding beauty. Now let's talk about the drinks. Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria definitely knows how to impress in this department. Their drink selection was fantastic, and I was particularly blown away by the quality and taste. Whether it was their signature cocktails or refreshing non-alcoholic options, each drink was expertly crafted and left me wanting more. It was evident that the staff took pride in their beverage offerings, and it showed in every sip. Speaking of the staff, I cannot praise them enough. The servers at Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I felt like a valued guest. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was enjoyable. Their warm and genuine hospitality truly added to the overall positive experience.
I've had better gourmet pizza (example, Manhattans in Guelph). We were hoping for more of a subtle Neapolitan char and less of a burnt taste in most bites, as well as more vegetables (there were tiny flakes of Brussels sprouts in a couple of spots, but basically non-existent, and there was about 1 piece of sun-dried tomato on each slice). The place has some decent reviews so either our pizzas were done by someone who didn't notice that they'd been in the high heat for too long, or this just isn't the restaurant for us....though we had previously had pizza there, a few years ago, and found it quite good.UPDATE: I see now that the chain was bought out a few years ago, by a huge food corp...that might account for the difference in quality which we experienced.
