Abbotts Hotel Waterloo

What a great place to eat. The food is classic pub food cooked to perfection. The prices seem they are from the past and the service is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this pub to anyone hungry and in the area.

The food here is simply fabulous at such affordable prices!I had surf and turf and it was cooked to perfection!Friends had the burgers (one pork one beef) and they loved them! Another had a gorgeous fisherman's basket that she drooled over!I'd come again next time I'm in town!

We eat here regularly, being local. It is a gem of a local watering hole. Lots of local characters regularly come and go to give it a real sense of community. There's a daily/nightly special weekdays for $10, well worth the price. There are several separate areas where there is usually a table to grab. And there are extra board specials mostly under $20 which are generally terrific quality. And good quality wines by the glass at good prices. There used to be a trivia night but I think unfortunately that has stopped but the Friday raffle and music, maybe Saturday also, is still on. And therein lies the trouble. With the constant gaming/sport going on up on teh screens, or music sometimes very loud, it can become difficult to sit and have a reasonable conversation over dinner. Not unknown in pubs of course. Still, on the quieter evenings, like Monday and Tuesday, it is extremely pleasant.

Really in redfern, say Waterloo to be more yuppy but it isnt......very local crowd in the pub, not recommended, but the bottle shop has GREAT private labels wines a real find at better than Aldi prices

I work nearby and always check out the weekly and daily specials. Food is consistently great - best pub food in the area. A pleasant surprise.
