The Brighton - Washington

The Brighton has a fantastic atmosphere, making it an excellent spot for after-work drinks, catching a game, or enjoying a date. The food was delicious, but the service left something to be desired. Our server forgot about us several times and didn’t place our order correctly. However, their wonderful personality helped offset the mistakes.

This used to be my favorite spot at the wharf, but I've noticed the service has declined over my last few visits. During my most recent trip, the servers seemed completely indifferent; it felt like they couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge me, despite the fact that the place wasn't busy. When they finally took our order, their attitude was quite disappointing. To top it off, my beer glass was only filled three-quarters of the way. I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.

I had a disappointing experience at this otherwise great spot, primarily due to the bald-headed bartender. His behavior was rude, unprofessional, and even seemed racist. To make matters worse, he was arguing with his colleagues right in front of customers! This lack of customer service and professionalism really stood out.

The food was excellent. I highly recommend the shepherd's pie and the chicken sandwich. The fries tasted like they were freshly cut. It’s definitely a great place to visit after taking the water taxi.

How dare you gentrify an area and automatically put an 18% tip on my CARRYOUT order and the bartender was not all that friendly. The only bright spot there was the young man at the door with locks. He was very professional.
