Moi Moi - Washington

I strongly advise against visiting the restaurant called Moi Moi. The food was absolutely terrible. We ordered beef suya, but it was boiled instead of grilled. The red snapper was fried and then topped with canned whole tomatoes, which was quite unappetizing. Additionally, the oxtail was served with stale rice and beans. The seating was uncomfortable and too low to enjoy a meal properly. If you're seeking authentic African cuisine, Moi Moi is definitely not the place to go. The waiter described their offerings as African food with a twist, but it was a complete disappointment. Save your time and money!

Additionally, the Jollof rice was quite unappetizing, to the point that I had to send it back. To make matters worse, when we received our bill, I noticed an upcharge for items ordered with a card compared to cash (about 5% less for cash). This was frustrating since there was no mention of this policy on the reservation or the menu. Had I known, I would have brought cash to avoid the extra charge. Overall, I would rate this place a 6/10. The surprise at the bill was a significant turnoff, and it makes me unlikely to return.

What a hidden treasure! The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect. I'm so glad I discovered this wonderful place.

We got there and the door was locked on us. I called several times and nobody answered.
