フィードバックを提供するHoly cow!!! This is some of best barbecue I've ever eaten. Definitely the best on the DC area. Get the burnt ends and mac and cheese. If you're at the National Zoo and want more bang for your buck, it's only a short walk (uphill).
I guess we came at the wrong time (3pm on a Saturday) because review photos and Instagram photos make the food and everything about this place look superb.While the meat had good flavor, the service when ordering and the sides we ordered left much to be desired: The Brussels sprouts were charred to a crisp The mac cheese was clumpy and dry The coleslaw was not moistAs a bib gourmand restaurant, we were expecting a Texas worthy barbecue experience, but we’re giving it the benefit of the doubt that we came at the wrong time.
Food was OK, made me miss BBQ from Texas whichnis the best i have had. Brisket was really dry and too much fat. The prices are also on the high side. Order the sampler came up to $40. They nickel and dime you for the type of meats you select. Won't be back.

Wow, come when it's busy, good turn over on the meat to ensure you get a hot off the grill bite. The moist brisket was eye-rolling good, but they had me at the smoked turkey! Such a fan, juicy with great smoke ring, no bbq sauce needed. They ran out of the pork belly, but now it's just a good reason to come again. Highly recommend.
