I had a delightful and relaxing time at this restaurant yesterday with my older sister and her friends, just before the tearoom became busy. My Sencha tea was delicious and the pineapple upside-down cake was full of flavor. I appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation. Our server, who was new and on her first day, was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. As someone who has worked in the service industry before, I know how challenging it can be. I regret not getting her name, but I believe I may have recognized her from school.

I strongly advise individuals with food allergies or sensitivities to avoid dining at this restaurant. Despite informing the staff of my nut allergy, they were careless and negligent in ensuring my food was safe for consumption. After assuring me there were no nuts in my dish, I later found out that there were, resulting in a dangerous situation for me. When I addressed the issue with the owner, their response was dismissive and unapologetic. They failed to respond to my emails or take responsibility for their mistake. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and accountability at this establishment. Save your time and money by supporting a different small business that values their customers, unlike Charlotte's Tea Room. This business should be ashamed of their behavior.
