Hidden away in Wiltshire countryside, a plain Victorian building with garden bordered by a stream. Good food, dogs welcome. No nonsense sort of place. Did not stay. Nearby activities: Salisbury Plain. Lots of walks in area. Army activity Walkability: Many walks up to the prehistoric barrows on the hilltops. Service: 5 Location: 5

Went to meet up with friends of 50years standing. Beautiful setting. Good sensible menu. Everyone loved their food. Great burger, excellent meat course etc. Not overpriced. Service: 5 Location: 5
