I would rate this place 4 stars because I don’t come here for the atmosphere or exceptional service; it's really about the value and the food. On my first visit, I ordered the Mongolian beef, and in my opinion, it was lacking in flavor. However, since this was my first experience, I plan to try other dishes and will update my review if the taste remains the same or gets worse. I've had worse meals, and I tend to prefer American Chinese cuisine, aside from the authentic Chinese restaurants in the area.
The lunch specials are excellent, with sizable portions and a wide variety of choices. Each meal comes with either fried or white rice, a vegetable egg roll, and a cracker. The salt and pepper pork was a bit on the saltier side, and the texture was reminiscent of Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The chicken lo mein was slightly bland, but the noodles had a lovely, chewy texture. My favorite dish was the cashew chicken, which was still delicious the next day when I enjoyed the leftovers. For three lunch specials and a hot and sour soup, the total came to just $31, making it a great value.
I've been coming here for years, and the food has always been consistently excellent with generous portions. You can either take it to go or enjoy it on-site.
