The Bayhorse - Wakefield

I went to the Bay Horse for lunch to cap off my birthday celebrations and we were very pleased with our experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and we ordered the specials of the day- a Roast beef baguette with chips, vegetables, and gravy, as well as a turkey baguette with all the fixings and roast potatoes. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Came to bayhorse for drinks, Harry, Leah and Tom made sure I was very looked after and welcomed. Had a great time, will definitely be back!!!

Overpriced, when the staff make a mistake it’s not there fault) they can be very very rude. Like forgetting a salad that’s listed as included in the meal). Serve the wrong sweet even though the sweet served is not on the menu) and moan when you point out it’s not the one you ordered. Because of the terrible service I will NOT be giving them a second or multiple visits)! Big loss due to rude staff lesson here). Based on other reviews I’m not alone with my conclusions.

Been here quite a few times and love the pub food they serve. Been as a couple and with friends and enjoyed it every time.

This restaurant was nearly empty at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, and now I understand why. They charged over £8 for a pint of beer and half a lemonade!!!!! Supposedly the charge is to cover the cost of the glasses and the additional fruit added, such as lemon and lime. They probably even charged for the ice. On top of that, they also charged for soda water. The staff were rude. I suggest turning around and going to the Rhubarb Triangle up the road instead.
