フィードバックを提供するThis restaurant is family-friendly, and the food was fantastic! I started with the Nacho Poke, followed by a shrimp and short rib mix, both of which were delicious. My husband remarked that it was the best meal he had on the Big Island!
For our main courses, we opted for several fish dishes, all of which were cooked to perfection. When it came to dessert, we shared the bakery basket from the Prix Fixe, which included macadamia nut tart and bread pudding. The tart crust was lighter than what I've experienced at other restaurants, and the pastry basket featured a lovely assortment of roasted fruits like strawberries, peaches, and pineapples. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff throughout our meal. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was the fastest I've ever encountered—our food was served just five minutes after we placed our order! Everything we tried was delicious; the Macadamia-crusted Mahi Mahi (as seen in the photo) was wonderfully flaky. The steak also received high praise from our group. The staff was even accommodating enough to share parts from the kitchen for those who preferred different cooking temperatures. Our server was exceptionally friendly, and we enjoyed a lovely view from our window table. For dessert, we indulged in the pineapple presented on a stand and the chocolate soufflé, both of which were outstanding! It's important to mention that this is a higher-end restaurant, so the portion sizes are smaller, and the prices are on the higher side. Nonetheless, the quality of the food and the excellent service made it a worthwhile experience.
We've been coming to Roys for many years. We haven't been able to travel for a few years, but finally back to Waikoloa. We found our latest experience was still a good, despite reading that it had gone downhill. Our server was great, the food was great and we had a great time. Our party of 4 had most fish dishes and the fish was perfectly cooked. The chocolate souffle is one of the best desserts of all time. It seemed that the souffle was smaller than before? But it was still brilliant and I don't need it to be bigger! Prices have certainly risen, but in these days everything is more expensive. Overall, I highly recommend a fine culinary experience.
We?ve been going to various Roy?s locations for the last 10 years, but this was our first time here. The food did not disappoint, as always. The ambiance was fine, although not terribly fancy considering the price tag. Overall we had a lovely dinner here with a large group of folks. Appetizers: We ordered the blackened ahi, wild boar wontons, Szechuan ribs, crab cakes, and Brussels sprouts. Of these, the crab cakes, wontons, and Brussels sprouts were the favorites. The crab cake was thick and flavorful; the wontons had a tasty juxtaposition between the savoriness of the boar and sweetness of the chutney, and the Brussels sprouts were crispy and had a nice charred flavor. The ahi was the most disappointing ? it was fine, but nothing special. Meals: The group ordered several meals, including the misoyaki butterfish (a favorite! , mekajiki, and the mixed grill. The butterfish was flavorful, tender, and utterly delicious. The mekajiki was also nice, albeit a bit heavier and less flavorful than the butterfish. The best thing about the mixed grill was the potato gratin ? otherwise the fish and meat that came with this entree were fine but nothing spectacular. Dessert: The group ordered several chocolate cakes and pineapple cakes. The chocolate cake never disappoints in delivering thick, gooey decadence with zing from the raspberry sauce. The pineapple cake was also delicious, just not my preference. Overall, this restaurant is consistent with the quality of other Roy?s locations and would be a solid place to have a nicer meal!
