Lava Lava Beach Club - WAIKOLOA

My friends had a table of 10 and they got kicked out after two hours. They spent a fortune and was happy with the food and music even it took awhile to be served. They where shocked that the server said that they had to leave. The manger came over and said that it?s policy and asked them to leave. It was a table of ten women between the ages of 62 and 75. Celebrating their youngest sisters birthday. When my friend told me about her experience I couldn?t help but keep apologizing to her for the embarrassment and poor treatment. They have live music and guests tend to spend more time. With a table of ten it takes more time. I would suggest that the restaurant put that into consideration when making these kinds of requirements. She and her family will never go back. Her new favorite discovery is the Thursday entertainment at the Royal Kona Resort. They have famous local musicians every Thursday at the Mai Tai Bar. So, she found a place where they can hangout, have drinks and listen to great Hawaiian music. I hope the Lava Lava Beach Club can figure out a way to manage this without embarrassing their customers.

Amazing steak and ribs dinner!! Enjoyed a beautiful sunset with my family at the end of our meal. Wonderful service and atmosphere. Live music, beachfront dining. This is a one of a kind experience and an absolute must do while in Hawaii.

I love this place, it has the best sunsets you can see during dinner, and it is now expanded to accommodate more guests.

Atmosphere and sunsets here are ??! The baby back ribs, ahi tuna nachos and clam chowder are amazing. So flavorful! The pineapple chicken presentation was beautiful but was super dry and not a lot of flavor. This restaurant is extremely busy 4:30-7pm due to the view for perfect sunsets. Get there early for a seat directly on the beach to watch the sun go down with your lovey. Seating is restricted to 2 hours only.

Was recommended by a fellow tourist as a romantic eatery. My wife and I arrived at about 4:00pm on a Thursday. We were seated immediately, and ordered in about 5 minutes. Friendly and attentive staff. Medium-sized menu of drinks and food items on par with other local, family establishments. Prices comparable, as well, and the food was fresh and tasty. Best part was sitting on the beach with a great view of the ocean. Due to the amount of patrons I 'm not sure I 'd go with romantic, but that 's a personal opinion (place is obviously popular). Others may find the view is all they need. Wait times after 5:00pm were about an hour, so come early or be prepared for a bit of a kickback and chill.
