Joe Joy - Waikanae

This morning's kai comes courtesy of #joeandjoy café in Waikanae. It's been a while since I was last here, in the middle of COVID-19 NZ, but not much has changed. Still excellent service, scrumptious kai, and great kāwhe. The kai in the front cabinet looked so ka pai, I just gained kg's looking, haha. Atmosphere was lovely, relaxing, hum of chatter, kāwhe cups clinking, kāwhe being made, beautiful smell of fresh parāoa and baking. Really enjoyed returning to enjoy the kai and kāwhe again. Daughter recommended the place (she's a local, I'm not). Wasn't disappointed. Food was delicious (so much deliciousness to choose from), and coffee was excellent . Staff were pleasant polite. Well, it's worth visiting if you haven't. I'll definitely be going back ...

Really great food, there's always a selection of naughty treats and it's reasonably priced too. But the best thing is the pies they are awesome! The pastry is perfect lots of different varieties but a good old mince pie is hard to beat. Good coffee and plenty of tables for Waikanae, sitting out in the sun on a fine day eating a pie with a coffee is pretty good

Young, enthusiastic and kind staff. The eatery is well maintained, modern, trendy and clean. The colour selection of the walls is calming and I advise waiting if there are no tables. Tables come quickly available. The food and drinks are served quickly and the meals are very delicious and there is a variety of dishes on the menu to choose from. My large latte and lunch was very satisfying and we enjoyed having lunch here as a family. Thank you!

Thank you for the amazing birthday cake. The most delicious cake I have tasted. Great service even when things get mixed up. Customer service is commendable. A big thank you to the Asst/Manager. Can not recommend highly enough. You went that extra mile.

I love this little cafe. I am visiting from USA and came across this little gem and have spent most days popping in for breakfast, their coffees and meat pies. The service is always fast and the ladies are so friendly. So not miss this little place!
