Kin Kin General Store - Wahpunga Range

Our family enjoyed a fabulous lunch at the Kin Kin General Store and will definitely return.We were seated on the front verandah and received excellent service from start to finish.The menu is terrific with a huge selection of plates to satisfy the most fussy of diners and a decent selection of wine, beers and non-alcoholic beverages.Some of the star dishes on the day included the beef brisket burger (say that three times quickly) and the Asian barramundi salad.Our meals were very satisfying which was a bit disappointing as there wasn't any room for any of the deliciousness in the dessert cabinet!If you're after a picturesque Sunday drive through the top end of the Sunshine Coast hinterland- with a top spot to dine - get out the GPS and head to Kin Kin!

A group of 8 visited Black Ant late last month for lunch and had a great lunch, I had a Barramundi Wrapand it was delicious, so many great flavours. The rest of the group had various dishes all of which were deemed perfect.The casual atsmosphere along with very good service will certainly bring us back.

A wonderful surprise for those just driving around enjoying the sights of the hinterland - probably some 30 to 40 minutes from Noosa and the coast but the drive from Pomona is along windy roads with lovely scenery.Then you come across Kin Kin with a lovely historic pub and a relaxing place like this "General Store" with such a diversity of foods - very relaxing sitting outside enjoying the best of a warm winter's day

Stopped here for morning tea before heading off on one of the wonderful walks through the stunning scenery that surrounds Kin Kin. Happy, friendly staff, great homemade muffins and generous coffees made for a great stopover.Returned at the end of our walk 4 hours later and enjoyed refreshing drinks to cool off.

Had several lunches here now over the past month or two. Never disappointed. In fact, impressed with every meal. Lovely casual atmosphere. Very welcoming and a great menu. Genuine attempt to provide fresh, tasty, modern meals. Love the way you can have the same thing either as a burger, wrap, salad etc.. hard to describe, but it works. eg. slow cooked brisket can come as a burger, wrap or a yummy salad..love every mouthful.
