Silos Baking Co. - Waco

I love this place! It was so yummy ? the icing was extra sweet so you might have to scrape some off but the flavoring is on point! Will definitely be returning on my next trip! ?

I was so excited to visit the bakery at the Silos. I love to bake and have high expectations. The line was too long for my liking so luckily I found that the Silos bakery truck offered the same treats I was after. I bought 2 cookies for around $3.50 each: chocolate chip and an oatmeal chocolate/peanutbutter chip version. They were both delicious: a slight crunch on the outside with a thick, soft middle. The cupcakes were presented beautifully, but to my disappointment, they were dry and dense rather than moist and fluffy. I would not buy cupcakes there again.

One of the best bakeries I ever been to in Texas, and trust me, I’ve been to a lot of them in Texas. Silo’s Baking bake and sell really yummy cup cakes and baked goods. Parking is challenging and it can be a crowded spot on weekends, but totally worth it.

The line is long but it moves fast and it's very organized. Presentation is fabulous My favorite was the strawberry, the butter icing is good, the cup cakes are a little dry. The carrot cup cakes taste like a box mix and very dry. Don't get them. FYII have really good recipe I will give u. It's so hard to find a good carrot cupcake.

Preface: I actually use to work at the Silos Baking Co. as an employee so my review may have potential bias. My review will be solely focused on the environment and cupcakes theirselves and not my time as an associate. The cupcakes are definitely good but just like anything else at Magnolia, it is way overpriced. You really are paying for more of the experience along side the cupcakes. I recommend visiting in the fall or winter times because the seasonal flavors are a hit: red velvet, cup of joe, Christmas flavors, etc. If you go, I recommend getting one of the box options. It's a good mix of all the flavors inside. As for the environment, it's the cute little bakery on the corner with seating outside right? You can take your fun little instagram photos by the Magnolia sign for all your friends to see. Overall, not a bad experience for the customer. I can't really speak from that standpoint but you'll have a good time.
