Oriente - Vitoria-Gasteiz

We stumbled upon this elegantly-decorated Chinese restaurant while searching for a place that was open at noon for lunch. The friendly young Chinese waitress was most helpful in welcoming us and assuring us that the dishes would not be too salty as we prefer lightly-seasoned food. We ordered the roast duck (technically it 's braised duck) with sauce and a mixed vegetable. Both turned out to be very tasty and the meal, together with rice and Chinese tea came up to only 30 euros for very generous portions. The Pakistani waiter was also friendly and helpful with directions back to our hotel and telling us a little about 'green ' Vitoria.

We came here in seeing the previous TA reviews (limited, but thought they'd mean something , but after coming to have dinner tonight we see the other people writing the reviews either had a completely different experience, they are suspiciously linked to the restaurant owners, or they may not have been in other chinese restaurants in Vitoria. Service was below average (restaurant empty and we couldn't choose our preferred seat , staff not smiley (as usual in other chinese restaurants , and food wasn't better than other chinese restaurants in the area (exactly the same . The atmosphere was comparable to any other chinese restaurant . Prices were slightly more expensive than what you get in comparable chinese restaurants. Even in other chinese they invite you for a flower liquor shot after the meal : , not here. To summarize, we could have saved the half an hour walk and gone to any other chinese restaurant in Vitoria. Probably we would have even saved a couple of euros in the bill.

It was a nice surprise to find a Chinese restaurant in this small city of Spain. The owner is very friendly and food is fine.

Es un restaurante al que suelo ir. Bien situado. La atención es muy muy buena, son muy amables y resuelven dudas que tengas. La comida esta muy bien hecha. El kubak es sensacional. El precio es muy adecuado a lo que ofrece.
