New Star Chinese - Visalia

I ordered Chicken Chow Mein, Fried Rice, and Orange Chicken. When I got to my car and opened my order, I discovered it was just Chicken Fried Rice and Orange Chicken. I went back to let them know about the mistake, and they told me that the menu only mentions substituting for an extra charge, but only for Pork Chow Mein or Pork Fried Rice. I was shocked! Then, I had to pay $11.99 for the Chicken Chow Mein. I left feeling disappointed and upset. I cannot recommend this restaurant. While I was waiting, I also witnessed another customer being charged $97.98 for something she thought would only cost around $57. What a surprise!

The hot sauce tasted watered down and detracted from the flavor of the meal. We ordered six lunch combos but only received two cups of hot sauce. The server looked annoyed, as if I had pressured him to give me more. Some of the meat was cold, and I couldn’t finish my meal after losing my appetite from the taste.

I don't typically order Chinese food, but when I do, it's a rare occasion. I decided to try the sweet and sour chicken, asking for the sauce on the side. However, I was disappointed to find that the chicken looked old.

The best service! The war of New Stars Soup is well known! It's delicious! And the variety of cheap lunch specialities offers something for everyone. Food in service is always friendly. It's not nice, and the exterior might be confusing with the other restaurant next door, but I've been customer since 2006. Go!

A beautiful little jewel near hwy 198. I came here with friends and we were not disappointed. You should try your salt and pepper Calamari and honey walnut shrimp! If you're looking for a soup, try her soup and hot and soup. They were so good that we ordered a container to go after dinner. It is a small mother and pop shop so waiting times were about 15-25 minutes during the rush hour, but it was good to wait. The server was beautiful and accommodating.
