Friand'Halle - Villebois-Lavalette

Despite saying they’re open on Mondays, they are most definitely not. Pretty annoying to travel all the way there to find the place closed. In conversation with others, they have also stated that they have yet to find it open on random other days, despite...info to the contrary. Update your on line information please.

We always have coffee here, it's good and the service excellent. Some-how we are always too early for lunch but it looks really tempting and we will be back!

A great find this place... in a pretty village with a shaded terrace,watching the world drift slowly by... delicious home made goodies at very reasonable prices,in a super stylish tea shop run by the most welcoming of people... what’s not to like...? what are you...waiting for...? highly recommended... Four words that spring to mind when I think of this fab place. The wonderfully fresh food, the delicious home made cakes. The serenity that is Joanne and her tea shop. The decor that oozes calm pared back sofistcation. Truly a unique experience, not a...canard, in any shape or form, in sight. How refreshing is that. It's just magic ,,,,,, and very yummy xx

We have been visiting the lovely village of Villebois Lavalette for several years. Villebois is blessed with a medieval centre, a magnificent castle chateau and panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Each year we have enjoyed excellent high quality meals in the Lavalette...restaurant and great pizzas in the pizzeria. This year we arrived and we're delighted to see that a Salon de The has just opened on the traditional market square. The proprietress, Joanna, provides a wide selection of refreshments quality teas, coffees, non alcoholic beers, soft drinks, ice creams etc. In addition, every day, she makes home made cakes, scones, croissants and crepes, lunches and birthday cakes to order, plus freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Everything is of the highest quality, reasonably priced, made and served with a smile by Joanna. The facilities are also spotlessly clean. We have now visited several times and have noticed that other people have discovered this gem and are becoming regulars. We love it and hope that you too will be tempted to visit it as well, to ensure it continues to be a welcome addition to the village.
