I have been to many acupuncturists in this area and the reason I sticked to this place for about a year means they are very good. I think the massage before the acupuncture is very good and important and the massage is better than many professional massages in the area. It happens that I often visit nearby massages. Massage relaxes your muscles before the acupuncture and therefore enhances the effectiveness of acupuncture treatments. One lady's claim that the acupuncture left a tiny hole in her mom's lung is completely laughable. If the needle touches and punctures the lung, there would be very sharp pain, it can't go unnoticed. In fact, all pain from acupuncture needles come from the skin surface.
Quite and clean place but it's good for relax and treatment. Excellent and professional service. I had pain in my neck, shoulder and back. The nurse was really knowledgeable and Dr. Hu is very dedicated. After 40 minutes for amazing massage, Doctor entered the room to perform acupuncture on my back, neck and my shoulders... There was no pain and then I began feel warm sensation in the trouble areas of my body. I feel so relaxed and the tightness was gone. Look forward to another visit.
I have been going to Dr Hu for at least 4 years. Every time I've been it's been like a miracle. Sinus infection, gone within hours. Knee pain, gone in 1 day. Back pain, gone within hours. Hip pain, gone within hours. I know I'm in good hands. They are so careful and attentive to my requests/needs. I have even brought my parents- both were super skeptical but absolutely loved it. His acupressure massages are the best I've had as well. It's direct and efficient. He can find my pain and the source of the issue without my need to explain myself. It's astonishing to me. Dr Hu really knows and understands how the body works. I am sooooo lucky to have found them. Getting a appointment there is the only thing that's hard- sometimes I have to wait longer than I want to. I guess giving a good review won't help them much but they, Maple Acupuncture deserves the recognition. I've seen some reviews talk about the language barrier- yeah this may be true but the results speak for themselves. OHHH, and Taco Bamba is right down the street so you can top the experience off with some wonderful tacos. Enjoy!
This was a horrible experience! First- There is a huge language barrier. Minimal English is spoken. The receptionist repeatedly asks for your insurance information even though I used a groupon. The 'massage ' guy was a joke. It was a few squeezes and rubs down your back. He kept rubbing his crotch on my head when he was massaging. Height vs pervert? It was so uncomfortable and unprofessional. Then the doctor stuck me w needles and made my nerves twitch, so I 'm assuming it was in the wrong place? AVOID THIS PLACE!
MALPRACTICE NEGLIGENCE! I came here once due to the reasonable price but didn't come again. I thought the practice was really unprofessional, massages were literally just squeezes, and frankly a bit sketchy like the back of an Asian outhouse. My mom however, had been going for years. Recently on a visit, she wasn't feeling well after she got home. Obviously due to the times, the assumption was she had COVID. After a ridiculous amount of ER and Specialist visits, X-rays, MRIs, finally was told by doctors she had a very tiny puncture in the back side of one of her lungs. When my mom explained she had gone to an acupuncturist, the doctor immediately said that was the source. She now has to possibly have surgery to rectify the issue. When my mom confronted Dr. Hu, he not only did not apologize/refused to remedy the situation, he completed denied it happening. Who does that!? Don't you have malpractice insurance to take of situations like this? She obviously will not be returning, but just preposterous behavior. Find a CREDIBLE acupuncturist so this doesn't happen to you.
