We decided to order the dinner combo bento box to sample a bit of everything. I went with the assorted sashimi, while my friend chose the sautéed fish. The meal included miso soup, shrimp sunomono salad, assorted tempura, baked oyster, sushi, and a bowl of white rice. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the tempura was light and not overly greasy. The wasabi had a genuine kick to it, adding a nice touch. My friend also enjoyed her sautéed fish. Overall, the food was delightful, and we found it hard to finish the rice. By the end of our meal, we were too full to consider dessert, but we left completely satisfied.
This restaurant is owned by Japanese individuals and the food is delicious. I ordered the salmon sashimi, which was very fresh. The atmosphere is great, but they close too early—by 9 PM, it’s already closed.
This is the best sushi restaurant in the city. It has fresh ingredients, a clean environment, friendly service, and very reasonable prices. I visited for the first time last night, sat at the bar, and truly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant has plenty of staff and comfortable seating arrangements with enough space between customers. While it is a bit dimly lit, that’s typical for sushi places. Other notable mentions include Shizen and Ebizo, but I can confidently say this one is my favorite!
Coming from Vancouver, there's not much to be excited about in Victoria regarding Asian food. I've tried countless forgettable sushi places in town. This one is probably the best sushi spot in Victoria. Can be a lil pricey nigiri/sashimi wise. Servers were super nice too.
