After reading other reviews, we decided to invite you to lunch. we ordered the seafood cellar for our hostess was friendly and recommended to accompany a wein at our meal. the dining room was well furnished and was very popular at the day we...visited our meal arrived quickly and what a hard for the two of us, squid was so tender, scallops prawns, crumbed fish, oyster kilpatrick, salat, chips and dressings. presentation and taste were very good. we tried very hard to finish the plate, but at the end we gave the deposit. this is a great value and we would highly recommend this dish, we loved it. great eating, atmosphere and personal, thank you

We had the seafood plate to eat two, great worth for money and more than enough, we loved it, but could not finish it.

I had a meal at this restaurant with a cinema theme. They offer a wide variety of traditional pub dishes at a good price. I ordered a carving dish and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, a great dining experience.

I dined at The Grosvenor on my first night staying at the Victor Harbor City Inn, which is located just a short distance down the road. I had a lovely time sitting in the bar before enjoying a pleasant meal. The service in both the bar and restaurant was excellent, so I returned the following night. If I ever find myself back in Victor Harbor, I will definitely dine here again.

Never before in my travels have I come across a pub with such appalling staff members and lack of service as I am about to detail here. Came to Victor Harbor last night on the steam train special from Mt Barker and went to the...Grosvenor for dinner, having a table booking for people. We arrived there around and by the time the queue moves along, we’re at the counter at One of the menu items (Grosvenor Chicken Breast) I wanted to order for my partner’s dietary requirement, but the male staff member told us would take to make and serve, and if we were catching the train back (Departing at we would miss it. On his recommendation we ordered the Special being the roast. Going by the time on my receipt, it was Menu items did not come out until at least and it was those on the table who ordered last got their meals first. Two meals (The daily roasts specials) were missing and it wasn’t until I got up and prompted one of the staff members she responded “Yes we know about them!” (WTF is that response suppose to mean? Like you know these meals are missing but made no effort to tell us and telling her we need them in take away boxes now to make the train at she then ran to the back kitchen and disappeared for several minutes before appearing at with two boxes and a tub of gravy, no apology, nothing. Dumped them on the table and stormed off. Additionally one of our guests on the booking was missing a dish of gravy and kept asking the same staff member for it but was continually fobbed off for it, finally being given the gravy as he was finishing his meal! I am appalled and disgusted by this level of service provided last night at the Grosvenor, and the absolute unprofessional and hostile behaviour of their staff towards the train passengers. Because of this we will never go back to this venue ever again, and find somewhere else to eat (That’s if anything is open in the god forsaken self-sabotaging visitor hating community' of Victor Harbor where even the fish and chip shop closes at on a Saturday Night, and the Hotel Crown takes to get meals out).
