La Triestina - VICENZA

Centrally located coffee and snacks. Outside seating under the arcade arches. Fast and friendly service.

We decided to take pot luck, we didn't check out the reviews we just turned right out of our front door passed on two rather dowdy looking places and found this gem. Lovely staff, very helpful and relaxed. We checked out the menu, half a litre of an earthy (house) red wine, prosciutto and melon to start. A massive late of squid, prawns and zucchini in tempura batter for S, and a humungous calzone pizza (mozzarella, tomato, salami, gorgonzola and German sausage) for me accompanied by a generous plate of French fries. I couldn't fault the food or the service and would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Lucca.

Been there serveral times for coffee and a light breakfast pastry. Right on the main drag. Excellent service. Good quality coffee and pastries. They also sell high quality chocolates. Note that they do not take credit cards.

This place has a nice area to sit outside under the arcades. We ordered two Aperol Spritz (6 euro for 2). It got served with some chips and some olives. Good place for a rest after a walk through Vincenza.
