After an evening movie we decided to try Angelo’s, which I read on TripAdvisor and is in our neighborhood. We arrived at 9:15 and there were many empty tables. That should have been a sign! We sat ourselves, which I found annoying, because I would have expected someone to sit us independently of all available tables! The menu selection is small what I prefer, as it usually suggests that the cook is really good to make these dishes. I ordered the Lomo con salsa champignon (medium) with frits and my wife had costillas de Cerdo with potato mashed. We received our drinks and a bread basket. The bread was quiet. When my steak arrived, I found that the Lomo was actually covered with several small pieces of Lomo in a thin mushroom sauce of tinted mushrooms. The salsa itself had a warm salty taste, but it lacked fungal aroma, like the toned mushrooms. My wife's pork chops were served with cold potatoes. The chop of the chop was cooked, but the meat closer to the bone was uncooked and ****. My wife ordered flan for dessert, which was released immediately after the order, so it was obviously pre-located and ready to go! My wife said the flan was dirty and even without taste. I would have expected a better meal for 800 pesos. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this neighborhood restaurant and would suggest readers to go to Avenida Libertador and instead visit one of the many restaurants.
