フィードバックを提供するBourbon Bliss at an Impressive Distillery! Yesterday, I set out on a bourbon adventure at this vast distillery, uncertain of what to expect. I must say, it completely surpassed my expectations! The moment I entered the spacious venue, I was captivated by its impressive atmosphere. The drinks they offered were rich and powerful, ideal for bourbon lovers like me. The tastings were a true delight, showcasing a variety of flavors and profiles in their selections. A standout moment was discovering my newfound appreciation for a mash they referred to as "Bill Mash" or something similar. Whatever the name, it left a memorable impression on my taste buds! My tour guide was absolutely fantastic; their expertise and enthusiasm for bourbon made the experience even more enjoyable. The soothing sound of rain outside added a lovely touch to the overall ambiance. One tip: be sure to book your tickets in advance, as their tours fill up quickly. Trust me, it's definitely worth the effort! Whether you’re a seasoned bourbon expert or just eager to try something new, this distillery is a must-visit. Raise a glass to bourbon bliss – you won’t be disappointed!
This distillery feels like a country club! The grounds are stunning, and the tasting room is gorgeous. We didn't take a tour, but I must say that despite the lovely setting, the staff seemed a bit unenthusiastic. The atmosphere felt quite rigid for our lively group.
The distillery and store were both stunning and impeccably clean. The tasting experience was excellent; our guide walked us through each flavor profile, allowing us to sample five different bourbons, along with a bottle of water and a piece of locally made bourbon-infused chocolate. The whole experience was interactive—just as Jesse mentioned, this wasn't a lecture at all. Larger corporate distilleries can sometimes disappoint, but this tour exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it for the reasonable price of $25. Just be sure to book online in advance; I overheard a family who arrived shortly after I did that was informed all of the tours for that day were fully booked.
This is one of my favorite distilleries to visit. And not just because I love Woodford. This distillery was the last stop for us during our Kentucky trip, and it'd been a long few days of drinking. More than half the group couldn't make it out of bed that morning, and they missed out on one of the most beautiful spots in Kentucky. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The ride in is so scenic, with rolling horse farms and grassy hillsides, it's like riding through a different era. Once you arrive, you enter the welcome building with a backlit wall of bottles that feels like a shrine. They have the standard merch, and actually some awesome stuff that you might actually want. Be there on time, because once you embark on the tour, it's like visiting a peaceful farm with the friendliest of guides...where they also happen to make the most delicious bourbon. This is the most zen I've ever felt about drinking whiskey. Walking through the barrel room, you can smell and almost watch the Angel's Share disappearing into the rafters. The giant tanks of bubbling mash are mesmerizing. Seeing all the barrels getting ready to be named, the wall of fame, how they are rolled from building to building, checking out the gigantic copper stills that probably cost more than a house...it makes you feel like a part of history. The history of whiskey. And of course, it ends with a tasting flight. I've never regretted drinking bourbon in the morning (that's a lie), and I certainly didn't here (actually not a lie).
What a great tour. Jamie was a really good guide and very knowledgeable about his spirits! Look for the woodford bottle in the distillation room. If you're in the area it's worth just the ride by the horses.
