Le Clos - Verneuil-sur-Avre

Dinner at Le Clos is a true dining pleasure. The owner, Eric Brial and his major domo, Bruno, offer a very personalized service. It's clear this is a regional favorite since we were the only non-French in the restaurant. The meal was exceptional and the...presentation very special. The food is all local and organic. The dining room is formal but very comfortable and looks out over the beautiful grounds of the Chateau. Mr. Brial (who speaks fluent English), the food and its presentation and careful preparation and his staff make this a real dining pleasure. Not to be missed!

On June 8, 2014 we were invited to lunch at Le Clos, which we would not have found by ourselves. The cuisine was first rate. I regretted not having brought my little camera so I could have posted on my blog. The ambience and service...were just right.

Amazing building with very accommodating owners. we arrived at 3 o'clock and were hit by the owner without problems. we slept a cozy night and had a delicious organic breakfast. the yogurt was beautiful and so creamy. we wish we could have stayed longer.

This is our second visit in le clos and it will not be our last. odille and eric are excellent hostess, in which the whole team are excellent. everywhere is well maintained, spotless and comfortable. the food and the wine are wonderful and there are several great bottles of calvados to taste! we have visited several relais château and rate le clos as one of the best. we'll be back next year. if they try only one thing on the menu, it must be the roquefort with white chocolate absolutely sublime!

A beautiful evening and a delicious romantic dinner. the food was beautifully presented with several items from their garden. the breakfast was delicious again, served in a garden room. a true joy!
