Venus Bay General Store

Date: March 15, 2015 I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant today under its new management! The couple running the place is incredibly friendly and welcoming, eager to ensure that all my needs were met. I tried the vegetarian focaccia, and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a lunch visit. I can't wait to come back regularly!

Great new management! I went to this place today and have taken over new manager! extremely friendly and outgoing couples who are looking forward to fulfilling my needs and all about what happens before location and happy to help me find what I needed. the vegetarian focaccia was amazing and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxing, my regular visit to lunch will be immediately:

Own property in, so often visit venus bay. the general is a jewel of our common. offers ingenious fresh brewed coffee as well as most melbourne caffes. I have always found personal to be nice and welcoming.

I found the service at the Venus Bay General Store to be quite rude and arrogant. I often spend my weekends in Venus Bay, and since it’s a small town, options are limited. I typically stop by the general store for any emergency items I may have forgotten. Although the prices are significantly higher than expected, I can tolerate that since they are one of only two places to buy groceries and household products in the area. However, I believe that’s the only reason they’re still in business, as the service is among the worst I’ve experienced—only marginally better than the rude service at the nearby fish and chip shop. On my latest visit, an older man who appeared to be the owner or manager was particularly unhelpful. He treated me with disdain, rolling his eyes and sighing audibly as I attempted to make my purchase.

Bad coffee Expired food. Bought some pastry from The Venus Bay general store, only to find that it had expired 6 months earlier and was dried out and off. Was refused a refund by the young 'manager ' who was needlessly rude and arrogant. Also scorched the milk in my coffee. Save the time and effort and drive to Tarwin Lower where they are always polite and the coffee is great. I won 't ever step foot in this establishment again. All over a $3 packet of pastry... Clearly they believe they have a monopoly.
