フィードバックを提供するA few months ago, we visited this restaurant for dim sum based on recommendations and found it to be just okay. I went back tonight to order wonton soup and salt and pepper ribs to go. The total bill came to $62, which was a bit surprising. Unfortunately, the soup was quite disappointing - the broth lacked flavor and the wontons were bland, with just ground pork and no seasoning or prawns. To be honest, they were overcooked to the point of being inedible. The ribs, while not terrible, were mostly gristle. The fact that the restaurant was completely empty at 7:30pm on a Saturday night speaks volumes.
This Chinese-style restaurant is excellent. The dishes are fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food. The parking situation is also convenient.
I wasn't aware that they had moved from Cambie to this new location, but the dim sum is still excellent!
We're from Washington-US and have a chance to visit Vancouver, especially have a great time enjoying the good food in this restaurant. My family really like dim sum and can't wait to have it but unfortunately, most of the restaurants in Canada just serve dim sum for lunch but we're not available to have it at lunch time. We tried to call 7-8 restaurants and asked them do they still serve dim sum or not and all of them say no except the Flamingo House restaurant, we're so glad because of that. The restaurant is not too big but looks warm, the food is delicious and worth the price. My parents really enjoyed the food here and said we will be back when we have the opportunity to visit Canada again. Thanks for the good food and good services!!
Went today after not going for a couple years. Will never be the same as the old location with carts and a big menu. Food was food fresh and good. Not busy, price is competitive. They are missing the boat not having peanut dunpling on the menu. We, along with many others we know, only go to restaurants that offer PEANUT DUMPLING. Instead of going every few weeks, it'll probably be only a couple times a year. The Ginger Beef Balls was very bland and little ginger flavour. Funny Little Bird doesn't offer Fish Paste on Green Pepper (a favorite and hard to find), where they have it here.
