Bella Pizza - Vancouver

I had never heard of this place until my partner and I were searching for a late night pizza delivery. Pizza was hot when it arrived and was delicious. Would deliver from here again.

We’ve ordered from Bella Pizza on 2525 Hemlock Street in Vancouver for years. It is one of my husband’s favorite pizza places. On Dec. 23 we had a terrible experience. We ordered two thin crust pizzas – the Masterpiece but with tomatoes instead of onions (I asked for the tomatoes to be put on the top after the pizza was baked) and the Gourmet Vegetarian. When the delivery man arrived, he told us he was worried we had regular crust and not thin crust because the boxes were so heavy.When we opened them, it was thin crust. However, the crust was not cooked and actually wet – so wet that it stuck to the paper lining the pizza box. Also, the tomatoes on the Masterpiece were right on the crust and underneath the meat as opposed to being on top of the pizza, thereby making the meat pizza very soggy also.The vegetarian pizza was gross – laden with soggy spinach, tomatoes and artichokes on top of the uncooked crust. Because we were hungry, we ate some of it. Big mistake. A few hours later we were both vomiting violently. We were sick all night and the next day. It ruined our Christmas. I had phoned Bella on Dec. 23 to let them know about the undercooked, soggy crust and they offered a credit. But, after being so terribly sick, we phoned again to get a refund and they refused.I have phoned the health authority and they will follow up on the undercooked dough and vegetable handling. Be careful if you choose order pizza from here. We will never do so again.

I have eaten here or ordered many times and it has always been consistently delicious. The service is fast and consistent. In addition to pizza I usually have to order a side order of the meat balls in meat sauce with garlic bread because they are just that tasty. I highly recommend the Hemlock Street location (I didn't have an opportunity to visit the Burnaby location).

Unable to return to a restaurant we had visited earlier due to an industrial accident that had closed the street it was on, we decided to stay in at the hotel and order in pizza. The hotel staff recommended three pizza parlors that delivered and after reading the menus, chose 'Bella'. Good choice! The pizza's arrived very quickly and were perfectly cooked, hot, and delicious. The cost was reasonable and although the delivery person spoke very little english, he was polite and competent. This would be a good choice if you find yourself in a similar situation.

Couldn't go out to dinner one night due to bad weather, so my wife and I had a pizza delivered to the hotel.. Delivery time was short and the pizza hot and delicious! We also had some wings that was part of their special. Highly recommend!Ed K.
