K-town Korean Bbq - Vancouver

This was such a treat. Never been to Korea but this was fun. Easy sign in for our party of 7. Delishious. Dietary restrictions: GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! Came here for the first time tonight and absolutely LOVED it. The food is delicious, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I wish I had gotten the names of the servers we had, they were all fabulous. Will definitely be coming here again sometime. They had Kpop music videos on the TVs and great music playing. Even got to leave on a high note with BTS 's Dynamite playing and danced out the door. Five stars all the way. Food: 5

First time experience and tried the AUCE. Didn’t have a clue what to do. Picked our 4 meats and got a mix of veggies. Cooked the meat the table and enjoyed the high quality meats and flavor. Only eating utensil was chopsticks which I am terrible at. Made due since I didn’t want to look silly asking for a fork. It’s definitely a different type of restaurant. Had a real Korean vibe, the only complaint is the noise of the exhaust fans which made it difficult to converse with anyone at the table, but did block out other conversations. Not sure if would order the AYCE but instead order a plate prepared my their cooks.

Spacious with many large tables and it isn't too smoky inside. Basic all you can eat option is $38 per person now, and I found the menu options for this price point to be pretty limited. Many menu items are not included as part of AYCE, and there are limited meat options as well. On top of that and most importantly, there are LOTS of rules when it comes to ordering, many I found to be too restricting to enjoy the experience. Some are common rules that are totally understandable such as 2hrs limit dine in time, but others are unheard rules (at least from my experience of going to kbbq) like must order 4 diff types of meat each time. The quantity is inconsistent each order and they tend to larger proportion of cheaper meats in each order. There's also no option of paying for leftovers and taking it to-go so it could be quite wasteful if you can't finish the 4 meats since it's hard to gauge the portions.
