Hy Tea Lounge - Vancouver

Pretty decor, delicate afternoon set, and good selection of tea.

This lovely place was a most delightful find. I cannot recommend it enough. It's like a secret hideaway. The high tea was MOST delicious. I will make another reservation soon.

This is very surprising that at 3:15pm on Saturday, 3 of us are the only customers there. That is very odd that for the whole time until 4:45... no customers at all. This is very very odd that we don't enjoy it that much. Food is basic and everything is not as compared to what it is advertised or promoted in social media... The quietness is not what we want and I think that is because of it doesn't provide a good afternoon tea atmosphere. Sorry , I have to be honest to other people that might be thinking of going there.

Beautiful, soaring light through the high, slanted atrium, truly lovely setting. Food was artistically presented and tasty, and there were a lot of items, so even though the price was a little higher than some places, we got more for it, so the value was pretty good. Menu had an Asian twist, which was attractive. We had a reservation for 2pm, but we were the only ones there at the time, so we had the place to ourselves. We opted for fruit tea instead of the usual pots of hot tea. The fruit tea was a delightful blend of clear fruit juices (peach, apple, a touch of passion fruit, maybe some orange) presented with colourful fruit garnishes. There were 7 savoury items and 4 dessert items! There were some really lovely flavour combinations, and everything was delicious; but there were also a couple of little shortcuts (I could tell some items were common store-bought things) that detracted a bit from the overall impression. But it was all beautiful and tasty, and we really enjoyed it.

Such a unique setting. The dish I had was great and such a good place to meet up with a friend.
