While it doesn't quite match up to other up-and-coming chicken chains like Raising Cane's or Slim Chickens, it's still pretty good. The chicken fingers have a unique coating that includes cornmeal, which gives them a distinct flavor. Chicken and its sides make up just about the entire menu. On the plus side, this focus allows them to make sure they do it right. The sauce they offer is proprietary and quite tasty; it seems to resemble the secret sauce from Cane's. Like the other two chains, this one also aims for a specific vibe with its wall decorations, but it doesn't quite hit the mark and comes off as a bit cheesy. Nevertheless, the food is what matters most. If you're stopping by I-40 or live in the area and are looking for a quick bite, you could certainly do worse than Zaxby's.
I never would have guessed that a restaurant serving chicken tenders with crinkle-cut fries and Texas toast would be so popular, but this place is definitely a hit! I ordered the 10-finger meal and paid an extra two dollars for eight additional cups of Zax Sauce. Trust me, this meal will leave you completely satisfied. My companion had the Cobb Zalad and absolutely loved it—clearly, she’s a fan of the Zax brand. Seriously, though, this place is great. It’s very clean; I’ve never encountered a dirty Zaxby's. Whether you’re in Conway or Maumelle, you should definitely check it out. And don’t forget to grab some Zax Sauce to take home—it's only 25 cents and it goes well with everything!
AlyssaBeth took care of us tonight, and she was incredibly friendly and attentive. When I couldn't recall the number for the meal I wanted, she patiently assisted me. She greeted everyone in line with a smile! Khloe also helped me retrieve a forgotten item, even though the drive-thru was really busy at the time. This is the kind of staff that ensures customers will want to return!
