Springhouse Cafe - Van Buren

Very nice staff, amazing fried mushrooms! Good portion size, drinks are good. Salad is amazing. The fried chicken sandwich just came as whole chicken tenders on plain toasted loaf bread.Clean bathrooms.

The saddest part was during our last visit. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, you would have thought otherwise based on our waitress's attitude. I'm not going to complain about the fact that two of the items we initially ordered were out of stock—it's a good sign that they're busy, right? We can work with that. Yet, sitting there without drink refills, and then finally receiving food that wasn't what we ordered, was quite frustrating! The waitress seemed annoyed to have to come to our table. In my opinion, if they could hire motivated staff instead of teenagers focused on social media, this place would truly be worth your money. P.S. I feel sorry for the cook or owner who has to deal with the food loss and hard work involved.

I had a wonderful experience at this little diner! The food and drinks were fantastic. My group ordered the chicken strips and a couple of burgers, and everyone loved their meals and sides. We had fries and mashed potatoes, both of which were delicious. While the staff could have been a bit friendlier, they did a great job overall. I definitely recommend this place if you're passing through and looking for a cozy spot for lunch.

The staff could definitely improve on their hospitality. Overall, the food was good and served hot. However, be aware that seating is limited. We had a lengthy wait for our meals. This restaurant has a lot of potential with its great food, excellent decor, and fantastic prices. However, the slow service and the attitude of a staff member, whom I believe was named Madison, need some improvement. Despite these issues, the experience was still enjoyable.

The tenderloin was excellent. My wife ordered the Reuben and mentioned that it was good too. Our server was attentive and prompt. What more could you ask for?
