フィードバックを提供するMy husband had a full breakfast , I had a bacon bap. Unfortunately the breakfast was lacklustre . The bacon was dried up , my large bap was lacking in bacon three shrivelled up pieces. Will definitely stick to cake. Everything seems as it had been hanging around , dried out.
The food is generally good, especially the chips. Jacket potato was tasty, but be aware the salad garnish comes with a dressing on. We went early before it became busy and the food came very quickly. Child's meal was good, apart from the ever diminishing number of sausages used to be 3, then 2, now only one. Pleased they have taken on board serving the beans in a separate pot. No pizza, despite being told in the summer it was only on the winter menu. Ketchup and mayo bottles were all virtually empty nothing was done about this, despite telling a member of staff. Tables were cleared much quicker and I was impressed how thoroughly they cleaned the highchairs after each use. Prices do seem to be going up a lot and £2.35 for a small bottle of coke is a bit much.
We didn 't end up staying and eating in this café unfortunately. There are kiddie lunchboxes available, great for littler ones but probably not substantial enough for 6yrs+. The next option was a limited hot food kids menu which also appeared to not be big enough in portion for 'in betweeny ' children. The adult menu was neither appropriate. I cannot say however that the food looked unappetising but it was quite pricey. Maybe stick to a picnic or food from the farm shop if you know you 've encountered issues like this before.
Went there today for lunch with a friend. Had been there before and lunch had been excellent but today was dreadful. My friend had the linguine which she said she was sure was tinned spaghetti, looked awful. I asked for a smoked salmon/cream cheese sandwich. Slice of dry bread, with a small spread of cream cheese and some smoked salmon. A few salad leaves with minimal dressing, no tomato or cucumber. Two scrapings of carrot and two scrapings of something I couldn't identify, and a few crisps. Two non alcoholic drinks for nearly £20. Won't be going back there again!!
Had a very disappointing lunch here today. 1. On arrival at 11.50 there were only breakfast menus out, causing chaos, but soon rectified. No longer a menu displayed on the wall which everyone could have looked at at the same time. 2. There were no fruit juice cartons for the children which would be free with their meal were just abruptly told to have flavoured milk (which our 2 don 't like and are unhealthy) or water. No apology or price reduction, just told they were out of stock. It 's half term there are going to be a lot of children there. 3. Three out of 4 meals were not as ordered. The ham and cheese ciabatta had no cheese (this had to be replaced and then eaten when everyone else had nearly finished), the tuna and spring onion filling on jacket potato had no spring onion (a bowl of chopped spring onion was brought), and for one child 's meal I requested the beans in a separate bowl this was written on the order but didn 't happen. The plate was taken away and came back with the beans (now cold) in a bowl but the sausage still covered in bean juice. I know this may seem finicky but a lot of children have an issue with it luckily we gave up at this point and she just ate it. 4. The salad consisted of just green leaves apart from one sliver of carrot. 5. No children 's pizza, which they had been looking forward to as have had before because they 'only have that in the winter ' ??? What is that about? 6. The water dispenser has been moved and you now have to push through the queue to reach it. Any one of these would be mildly annoying, but it just seemed to go on and on and was stressful. Have had minor issues before, but never like this and we feel very disinclined to eat there again. On the plus side, the food was reasonably tasty, especially the chips.
