While people outside of Italy may think of Italian food as a singular cuisine, each region shines with its own traditions. Chef Renato Martino will give you the best possible crash course in Campania cuisine through your choice of a meat/land-based menu or seafood-based menu. The restaurant's sommelier is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to guide us through the restaurant's extensive wine list to find a local wine that suited our tastes. The delicious food, beautiful presentation, and warm hospitality has certainly earned Vairo del Volturno's mention in the Michelin guide. For anyone traveling in the Naples/Caserta area, this is definitely a restaurant worth seeking out.
The most amazing food, very reasonably priced for its Michelin star, and with impeccable service, it is very much worth stopping by Ristaurante Vario del Volturno. It is conveniently 5 mins from the freeway in a cute quiet town on the way to or from Rome and Naples/Amalfi/Sorrento, perfect to break up the journey. You can choose between a la carte and degustation. We chose the €30 degustation which was just delightful, 3 courses plus variety of delicious breads, coffee and small surprises. Very charming waiters and extraordinary wine list, though we had the house wines by the glass, which were flawless. Could not recommend more highly!

Avevamo sentito parlare molto di questo ristorante, ma, anche se eravamo nella zona, non eravamo mai stati. I piatti erano ben curati e cucinati con i prodotti tipici del territorio, alcuni dei quali erano cibo lento. Il servizio molto impeccabile: i camerieri hanno mostrato, in qualsiasi momento, attento e professionale. Raccomandato!
Ristorante tradizionale a pochi km da Caserta, personale molto gentile e camerieri super professionali ma simpatici. I piatti riflettono la tradizione locale, i grissini eccellenti e la focaccia! Super apprezzati tartufi! Solo peccato troppo tempo di attesa. Servizio: Dine in
