There are some great vegan options available at this restaurant. I had 4 grilled sandwiches, 2 vegan empanadas (one chard and one artichoke), fresh juices, soy milk for coffee, a few snacks, and truffle desserts. The prices were very reasonable, and for under 40 soles, I was able to purchase 1 sandwich, 2 empanadas for takeaway, 2 truffles for dessert, a cappuccino, and a trail bar.
For 34 soles, we had a vegan lasagna that was pre-made and heated in the microwave (a bit greasy but tasty, not very big) and 3 empanadas. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the waitress is friendly and helpful. However, there are not many vegan options, possibly more vegetarian options. The prices feel a bit high.
I like to come to el eden. while I'm not totally vegan, I enjoy coming here for a quick bite. I found her vegan empanada really, really tasty and her vegan truffles to be pretty good as wel. there are also some beautiful homemade jams, pastas, brote and other seasoned. she also has other desserts without gluten, but not many were vegan, but they looked good. it is worth keeping a quick bit or just to check out!
El Edén is a natural foods café, bakery, and shop, with a menu featuring mostly lacto-vegetarian items, some meat, and limited vegan options. Specifically, the vegan options during my visit (Sep 16) were empanadas (pretty good), chocolate truflles (excellent), and some nice gluten-free biscuits). All vegan options were clearly labeled as such. They also have a few shelves of packaged natural food items. I would've visited more often if there were more vegan options. Non-vegans might find it interesting enough for return visits.
