The Pier Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

I love dining here and the food is wonderful, I love the fresh fish and the salads and love sitting outside by the water

A plain-looking restaurant attached to a motel, The Pier Restaurant does not look very promising. Inside, the decor is very plain, too. The menu is quite limited but offers something for everyone. My wife had the sous-vide duck breast and I had lamb rib cutlets. The servings were generous and they were cooked to perfection. We particularly liked the fact that the food was not over-seasoned. The wine list was quite good, too. Definitely happy to take guests there for dinner.

Fantastic meals, by far one of the better restaurants in Hervey Bay. The new management is doing a fantastic job in raising the level of cuisine in the local area. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Going again tonight.

On our anniversary we decided to go to the Pier Restaurant, Urangan. We had the Seafood platter and wine special. Upon arrival we sat at the small cocktail bar and had some delicious and well made cocktails. We ordered our meal from there and the staff let us know when our meal was ready. However while having our cocktails the two bar staff were engaging and fun.Our dinner which was the hot and cold Seafood platter had fresh fruit and salad greens as well as prawns, oysters, scallops, fish, salmon, calamari, crab and other goodies. It was delicious and fresh. We finished our meal with a 'Chocwork Orange' dessert cocktail.This platter is highly recommended.

We sat down at 6.30pm for dinner, the drinks waiter served us when we first sat down and that was it, he did not come back to the table. The lady who served us was lovely and attentive however should have maybe told us that there may be a delay with our food. We did not receive our food till 8.45pm, that's over 2 hours. My son (7 years old) was complaining all night which did not help. We complained and the waitress told us that they were a staff member down in the kitchen, like I said this would have been nice to know earlier. This was our last night together and was meant to be an enjoyable dinner out.When the food finally came out it was very nice.Dissapointing!
