Restaurang Sofreh - Uppsala

I have been to this restaurant multiple times. It is a small establishment with attentive staff. The consistent quality and great value make this cozy little restaurant a hidden gem and one of the top Persian restaurants in the Uppsala area.

We visited this restaurant and ordered takeout while we waited. The staff offered us hot tea while we waited, and the interior of the restaurant was beautiful. The food was delicious, and the Iranian people working there were kind and welcoming. We tried three different dishes and all of them were fantastic. Overall, a great experience with friendly service and high-quality food. I found this location by googling the Persian restaurant.

I ordered a vegetarian stew but received one filled with meat instead. They promised to bring a new one without meat, but it was clear they had just picked the meat out of the same plate. I even found pieces they missed after eating some. Though we weren't charged for the dish, we weren't given anything else as compensation. The rest of the food was okay, but nothing outstanding.

Although the menu was beyond our poor Swedish, the staff kindly translated, The food was fine, and the place pleasantly quiet and calm

I have tried so many iranian restaurants in Sweden in Stockholm and other cities, and by far this is the best one. As an iranian I can guarantee that you will taste some great dishes. The meat is from local farms. And you can taste the love and care of home made cooking in everything i've tried. Been there many times and will always go back. The staff are super nice and the wine is also good. Haven't tried any beer there, but you should lower your expectations when it comes to beer selection.
