O'hagans - Upington

The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. I have stayed there several times.

I only stopped by for a couple of drinks in the evening, but the bartender was fantastic and definitely a reason to return. The only reason I rated it four stars is that the balcony seemed to be filled with mosquitoes; adding two zapper devices would greatly improve the experience. Despite the occasional itch from the bugs, it had a wonderful atmosphere, especially being next to the Orange River.

In 2017, I visited this restaurant multiple times. It was a popular spot for Spaniards in the area to gather on Saturday afternoons and evenings. The atmosphere is calm and safe, making it a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and unwind. There's even an apartment just a few meters away for convenience. The back terrace is particularly charming, featuring only a handful of tables that provide a more serene setting for dining or conversation.

This restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and serves amazing food. They even created a special off-menu meal for my mother-in-law to keep things light and cheerful. The service was excellent, and the place has a fantastic mix of genuine Irish charm along with a modern musical vibe.
