River City Donuts - Universal City

I loved their doughnuts when I lived at the apt complex next door. Years ago, they'd closed down I was lost. Going there this morning!

Mmm kolaches! Best donuts and kolaches ever! I'm always in and out in less than 5min when I pick up before work. This is such a wonderful place. Also, the cashier lady is always cheerful and friendly!

Absolutely my favorite donut shop and it happens only walking distance. Your donuts and coffee are so great, the owner is fabulous. I have no complaints.

This place offers donuts that taste way better than those from Shipley's, Dunkin', and Krispy Kreme. It’s a charming mom-and-pop shop that competes successfully against large, mass-produced donut chains. These are the only donuts I buy. Each Tuesday morning, I bring in two dozen assorted donuts for my staff, and they always ask where I get them. I encourage you to support small businesses and get your donuts from this fantastic little shop.

While the kolaches are decent, I recommend focusing on the donuts instead. The shop features a charming old-fashioned counter, perfect for bringing your kids to enjoy some sweet treats. Please note that there’s no drive-thru available. The building itself appears to have seen better days, but don’t let that deter you from visiting. I haven't explored the bathroom, but it does seem a bit small and is located at the back of the shop.
