Pier01 Cafe - Ulverstone

I visited this restaurant once for lunch and once for a function we booked to celebrate. The prices for the function were very reasonable, with a flat rate room fee and additional charges per head for food, with four tiered food packages to choose from (Bronze through to Gold) and only a $2 per head cakeage fee. The restaurant had AV facilities available, including a large projector screen that we used to show photos from a laptop. The food and service were fantastic, with generous portions. Even though we were the only ones in the restaurant on a lazy Sunday afternoon, the staff did not rush us or pressure us to leave. I would love to give this restaurant 5 stars, but I had difficulty getting a response from the restaurant manager when trying to clarify what was included in the fees. We even tried to approach him in person, but were told by the wait staff that we would need to make an appointment to see him.

I must say that after travelling around Tasmania for over a week, I found the service, staff, and meal at this restaurant to be top-notch. The ambiance and views were also excellent.

This restaurant is a fantastic venue for events. I recently attended the Employer of Choice Awards here and was treated to a delicious, hearty breakfast. They provided fresh fruit and juice, as well as coffee.

Great food, I had a lovely calamari dish. The food was a little expensive for the serving size but was good quality.

Wow, what a meal. Absolutely delicious and such great flavours. Went for Valentine’s Day and am so glad we did. Food was outstanding and creative and very tasty. The staff were polite, happy and knowledgeable and an asset to this restaurant. Well done and thank you for a great experience
