1836 Texas Kitchen - Tyler

The atmosphere is wonderful, and I really enjoyed the bar area. The bartenders are amazing—quick service and engaging conversations. We chose to sit at the bar, which meant we didn’t have to wait for a table. The Queen dish was excellent, and I particularly loved the shrimp and grits. There are so many tempting options on the menu that it was hard to decide. I can't wait to try some of the other entrees!

Great food! the service felt a bit stressed, I guess it was just a typical Saturday evening in the summer. Overall, if I was locally tyler, I would come here for south/home style eating if I wanted it. highlights: buttermilk fried chicken steak and enchiladas. such a solid combo, can not emphasize enough how good it was. get something!

Dining here was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredible, and I had a wonderful time. The beautiful open terrace is perfect for children to run around, although they could benefit from some racing games or similar activities!

I was recommended this restaurant by a local, who suggested I try the chicken steak. I found that it would have been better if it weren't served on top of the potatoes, as they ended up being a bit soggy. The gravy is always served on the side to keep things crispy, which is a nice touch. The greens were really good. Also, they served my beer in an old glass, which wasn't ideal. Would I go back? I might, but I’d probably try other places first when I'm back in town.

Yummy spot for brunch, nice patio, great appetizers and cocktails. We also got chocolate cake from here on another occasion and it was the best I’ve had. It was like my mom made it and a HUGE slice. Like, enough for four people.
