Penca - Tucson

This restaurant is lovely and we loved the mood immediately when we came in. the drink menu was super unique and the cocktail I had was the best part. I have the diabelo! the menu is listed and has various vegan options. they also have gf options, but they need to ask for clarification about them. I had the enfrijoladas that were gf and vegan. I expected something different from any reason, but the best way to describe it is 3 corn tacos on their side with sauce above. the filling was really heavy and I wish they had been more veggies than kartoffels and borrowing and in the I really love kartoffels. If I went back, I would order something else.

Our party had a very pleasant meal in penca. the food was delicious, especially the homemade mais tortillas. everything we tried was very delicious, and the sangria was different, but interesting and pleasant. Look at it.

The dinner was delicious. service fantastic. what could a patron want more?

We spent too few days of our long journey in tucson. penca was a culinary highlight. this place has a stellar menu, tasty eating, really perfect atmosphere, and friendly service. good, good, good.

We enjoyed penca in the past and suggested that we go last Wednesday with another couple that had not been there. the Wednesday 3 curs prix fixe was still advertised on the website, and we enjoyed this evening meal. Although we sat on a cozy eckish in the back room and had a personable waiter, we soon learned that the chef has recently moved on. there is no Wednesday prix fixed dinner. we have smelled and started with guacamole what was good. the mixed salates were better than fine. the menu looked great, the problem were our main courses three of us had very overcooked, dried fish (2 ordered groupers and the third, heavy fish. my man ordered a carnivore and said it was pretty poor. the service was also extremely slow (over 2 hours. we hope that eating can be improved to what it was under the former cook!
