Amical - Traverse City

This is a lovely spot for a fine dining experience. The service left something to be desired, as we felt rushed to place our orders while the food took a while to arrive. However, overall it was a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and prepared exactly as described, with portion sizes being just right. I would certainly return in the future.

We ended up sitting at the bar, which turned out to be a fortunate choice since we were seated immediately. We should have made reservations, as the wait time for a party of two was nearly an hour. Our bartender, Taj, was fantastic and offered excellent suggestions for both dinner and drinks. Despite the bar being quite busy, we never felt overlooked. We shared the puff pastry tomato soup, and it was delightful. Our main courses were just as impressive! The atmosphere was lively, making it a great place for a nice dinner.

We had a fantastic evening! I ordered the short rib special, while she enjoyed a side salad with crab cakes. For dessert, we indulged in a peach cobbler with blueberries and a raspberry crème brûlée. Stacey provided us with excellent wine recommendations and fantastic service, making our night at Amical memorable. Amanda also offered us wonderful service throughout the evening. I started with tomato soup, followed by a pork shank, and finished with a chocolate tart topped with peanut butter and whipped cream. She had a delicious baked chicken and an apple crisp. It had been a while since our last visit due to the pandemic, so we were thrilled to discover that the experience was just as great as we remembered. Amical is definitely a must-visit for us whenever we're in Traverse City!

Mandy was our waitress and she was so awesome and friendly. She helped us order everything we needed and kept tabs on us throughout the evening. Every appetizer and entree was delicious. We especially loved the crab cake appetizer and salmon dip.

My husband and I recently enjoyed dinner on the patio this week. I had the whitefish, and he had the duck. Both meals were nicely presented, filling, and delicious! Staff was attentive and kept our waters filled frequently on the hot day. We will goagain on our next trip to TC!
