There are plenty of staff, so you don't have to wait long to be served. I have been here many times and will continue to frequent this pub. It's only a 15-minute walk to the stadium.
I went to this restaurant for a quiet drink. The first pint was okay, but after the second pint, one of our group was drugged and had to spend the night in the emergency room. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
From the outsite you would think that the Gorse Hill is just another pub on Chester Rd, Manchester, that might be worth popping into for a quick pint before pushing on the Old Trafford for the football. Well be suprised. Whilst the beer selection in average, the Gorse Hill itself has recently been tastefully renovated and is now a very pleasant place in which to have a pre-natch drink, 10 minutes walk from OT.
Aside from the uneven paths to get in that had massive puddles in, this place was a gem. Unlike typical pubs, this place had a restaurant bar vibe to it that we loved. Kids can play pool at the back, toilet facilities were clean and the service was amazing. Love the music choices and how clean the place was in general. Well done.
The place is secluded from the world, on top of a Pub.... the rooms are fine, but the service is chaotic, there is no one to send you the key codes that are in boxes.... we ordered service for 7 people and after three hours, we were lucky to find three rooms, we had to solve the problems of three more people who had the same problems as us. The worst part was when we arrived at night, the pub was on fire and there was another door with a code that we had not been given and we could not access our rooms, luckily two people arrived in 20 minutes to open the door for us. We asked at the pub for the codes for the door and they responded rudely. There is no one taking responsibility, luckily Anna fixed the problems for us but it cost us half a day... DO NOT RECOMMEND!
