フィードバックを提供するMy husband and I arrived in Tournus at 1:15, we parked by the eglise and wanted to get some lunch before things shut down ... Stopped at Un Autre Monde and the server just couldn't be bothered with us, although they were fairly busy and it appeared lunch service was in full swing. We asked for an empty table for 2 in the shade - she told us this - although set - was 'too far' and offered instead one of two tables in direct sun or a table with one chair across the street next to a parked motor cycle. So no, we never ate here. The server's unhelpful, unfriendly attitude - in a setting where we were not being difficult, just asking to sit in the shade (at an empty, set table next to where other patrons were seated) for lunch ... But this was too much for her, she decided to be one shade nicer than hostile. She walked off, and then we walked off, to a much nicer establishment around the corner, Le Fenelon. Tant pis!
Arrived on a hire boat and looked forward to a good meal. Used trip advisor but the chosen restaurant was closed (Thursday.) As were most others. Found this one which was open but empty. Limited menu was interesting so decided to stay. Wow only two choices for each course but excellent presentation and quality. Service excellent and the chef deserves an award. Pity Michelin gave out their stars two days ago. If this was typical it deserves to be much higher up the list.
Quite simple the best chicken I have ever tasted! The food was gourmet style for budget prices. 3 courses for around 13 euro. from starter to dessert it was perfect, The choice was quite limited but what they serve more than makes up for this. A good selection of wine and beer to accompany the meal at a reasonable price. We had our dog Kira,and told the waitress she could not eat the chicken bones, so she came out a little later with a plate of boneless chicken pieces for Kira. If you are ever near Tournus any enjoy good food you need to visit Un Autre Monde!
Certainly a priori in the opening phase for a few weeks, despite an acceptable quality I found a very high price with a very small quantity. I am particularly familiar with the Tournusian restoration to restore it regularly, I see that we are far from the best value price. It's a shame because it's in the opening phase that we put forward its image. I hope the reactions will be without delay.
Reopened since 20 June 2015. new kitchen, welcome the most charming. fast and high quality service. irreproachable kitchen. and to advise. Sunny and very pleasant terrasa in the heart of the tourist city., close to the Holy Abbey Philibert. restaurant must be recommended and to be discovered.
