フィードバックを提供するI admire France for its cultural diversity, and food is one of those diverse experiences. And I admire the French for their ability to make something special out of the most simple. Aligot and Truffade are finest examples of such and I had a very tasty Truffade at the Au Buron. Incredible how just potato and cheese make for so much joy. And the selection of cheese most prominently the Gaperon added to that. Unfortunately the wine wasn't up to par and à little bit too nondescript. Nonetheless, if you want a quick and decent dinner for max 4 people (the place is really small) and like potato and cheese, this could be your choice...
Toulouse as a whole is an underwhelming city. I would say that my three days were completely wasted there if it had not been for this restaurant. Au Buron is in every way possible a one man show. The same man greets you, seats you, takes your order and cooks your food. The speciality of the house is aligot , a local dish nearly impossible to find in Toulouse restaurants due to the labor intense nature of the dish 's preporation. Regardless, Au Buron makes the most incredible Aligot (a potato/cheese dish). All elements of the two meals I had there were perfect. My boyfriend had the Aligot soufflé, which was well prepared and delicious. The sausage and aligot (the classic way of serving the dish) was also wonderful. I had a chicken in a sauce that was genuinely indescribable. This is an excellent restaurant and almost worth a brief stop in this underwhelming city. This restaurant is very well priced and portions are more than generous.
Small, quiet and nice restaurant. We spent a very pleasant evening! warm and friendly welcome. We tasted a very good truffle and a very good alligot. very good value quality price. original beers that come out of the ordinary. We recommend this establishment that is worth the detour.
Auvergnate cuisine authentic. everything is auvergnat: dishes, wines, and even cola! menu at 21€90 in the evening with entrance, dish and dessert.
Very small restaurant near the centre serving traditional French cuisine. excellent value quality price. We ate the duck anduiettes wrapped in phyllo paste: fabulous. also very good desserts!
